Michael Olmert, of the English Department, University of Maryland, College Park, will give an intimate talk on the recently restored Lee Mansion kitchen, including its usefulness and symbolism for the people who once cooked in this unique Mid-Atlantic regional kitchen. The talk will be given in the kitchen while historical reenactor, Betsy Keithley, will be demonstrating hearth cooking over the fire. A delicious lunch will commence after the lecture.
