Día de Los Muertos : Honoring the Dead with Shelley Davies Wygant

Join us in the Lee Mansion for a vibrant celebration of Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with Shelley Davies Wygant - an evening filled with art, culture, and remembrance. Ms. Davies Wygant, author of Haunted Ellicott City and Haunted Howard County, Maryland, will explore the mystery and rituals of this 3000 year-old fiesta that honors and celebrates the reunion of those in this world with the souls of their lost loved ones in the next. After the lecture, we will honor the ancestors in our historic 1830 Kitchen with homemade traditional foods and spirits, creating a vibe of communion, dining with the living and the dead. (Come in Costume if you like!) Ms. Davies Wygant will also be on hand to sign copies of her two books. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to Eventbrite here.
