Beyond Susan B. Anthony: Maryland Women and the Fight for the Vote

Join us in The Lee Mansion for an engaging in-person event that dives deep into the stories of Maryland women who played a huge role in the fight for voting rights. Discover powerful tales beyond the famous names and get inspired by local heroines who made history. Don't miss this chance to celebrate women's suffrage like never before!

Join historian Dr. Amy Rosenkrans as she brings to light the stories of Harford County suffragists such as Elizabeth Forbes, Annie Hollingsworth Hopkins, and Estelle Moore—women who organized, advocated, and persevered in the long struggle for voting rights, helping to shape both state and national history. Dr. Amy Rosenkrans is a lifelong resident of Havre de Grace, Maryland, and an award-winning historian whose work brings Maryland’s past to life for public audiences.
